Animal Welfare League Queensland (AWLQ) is currently looking for a part-time Animal Attendant and Administration Assistant to join our Ipswich Animal Rehoming Centre! About the role

The role is to provide effective care for the animals and admin support as part of our Ipswich Rehoming Vet Clinic team. This role would be suitable for someone who has previous experience within a Veterinary Clinic, has recently completed their certificate III or IV in Veterinary Nursing or would like to.

 

The role covers but is not limited to:

  • Data entry and reception duties
  • Scheduling patients
  • Assistance with stock control
  • Providing a high standard of animal care
  • Maintaining and cleaning of animal housing
  • Sterilising and maintaining Veterinary equipment
  • Administering medications and following animal treatment plans
  • Strong Customer Service
  • Knowledge and demonstrated ability with disease management

What are the minimum requirements for this position?

  • 2 years minimum experience in the animal industry in a similar capacity, ideally in a Veterinary Clinic
  • Experience handling dogs and cats
  • Proficient with computer systems
  • Cert III of IV in Veterinary Nursing is desirable
  • Excellent Customer Service
  • Flexible availability including some weekends and public holidays.
