About the role
Animal Welfare League Queensland (AWLQ) is looking for a part time Reception Supervisor to join our Brisbane Community Veterinary Clinic!
The Reception Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer service is provided to all customers and visitors of the clinic. Reporting to the Client Manager you will support with supervising and coordinating the reception team. You’ll be working within a team of highly skilled and passionate veterinary professionals under the banner of one of the most respected brands in animal welfare. Key Responsibilities
- Assisting the Client Manager by directing the daily activities of the reception team to ensure the productivity and workflow of the clinic
- Ensuring the highest standard of customer service, showing compassionate support to all clients
- Fostering a supportive and positive work culture
- Provide on-the-job training
- General administrative tasks - processing payment, booking appointments, generating pet product orders, maintaining accurate patient records
What are the minimum requirements for this position?
- Experience supervising, training and developing a team
- Experience in an administrative role
- Understanding of basic veterinary terminology, clinic practice and routine
- Experience in the Veterinary industry (highly desirable)

- Strong Interpersonal and Communication Skills
- Ability to manage your own time effectively and be respectful of the time of others
- Completes tasks thoroughly with strong attention to detail within deadlines
- Versatility, flexibility and positivity
- Be able to work a 7 day roster – which covers weekends and public holidays, with a 6:30pm finish on some shifts
