The Opportunity

We’re seeking a dedicated Veterinarian to join our compassionate team at our Daisy Hill (Brisbane) Community Vet Clinic on a part-time (19 hours a week) basis. This role offers the opportunity to provide essential care to animals in need while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality veterinary care and ensure the well-being of all patients.
  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical and surgical cases.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to provide education, advice, and support.
  • Work collaboratively with veterinary nurses and support staff to achieve the best outcomes.
  • Uphold AWLQ’s commitment to keeping pets and people together, ensuring that animals receive the care they need regardless of their owner's financial situation.

 

Essential Skills and Attributes

  • Tertiary qualification in Veterinary Science and current registration with the Veterinary Surgeons Board of Queensland.
  • Strong clinical and surgical skills with a compassionate approach to animal care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to manage diverse cases and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
  • A commitment to AWLQ’s mission of providing accessible and affordable veterinary care.
