This is a unique and exciting opportunity to become a Training Officer for AWLQ!

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and engaging Training Officer to support the delivery of training and onboarding programs across AWLQ.

Working closely with the Training Coordinator and operational teams, you will facilitate induction, onboarding and workplace training for new and existing team members across multiple AWLQ locations. You will play an important role in ensuring our people have the knowledge, skills and confidence to perform their roles safely, effectively and in line with organisational standards.

This is a hands-on role that combines training delivery, competency assessment, and training administration. You will regularly work alongside operational teams to support learning in real-world environments and help maintain a consistent approach to training across the organisation.

The role will involve travel between AWLQ sites throughout South East Queensland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Experience delivering training or facilitating learning in a workplace environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage and support learners with varying levels of experience and confidence.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and other workplace systems.
  • Current Driver Licence and willingness to travel between AWLQ locations.

What You'll Bring

Desirable: 

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in animal welfare, veterinary or a related sector.
  • Experience working with volunteers.
  • Experience facilitating both face-to-face and practical workplace training.
