As one of Queensland's leading animal welfare organisations, we are embarking on a bold new direction through our Community and Companion Animal Wellbeing Strategy 2026–2029. We are shifting our focus beyond responding to crisis towards preventing it—creating sustainable, evidence-informed solutions that strengthen the wellbeing of both people and their companion animals.
This is a unique opportunity to lead that transformation.
About the Role

Working collaboratively across government, health, education, human services, veterinary and community sectors, you will build partnerships that improve access to support, strengthen communities and help keep people and their companion animals together.
About You
We are looking for an experienced strategic leader who is passionate about creating positive social impact and improving community wellbeing.
You may come from public health, health promotion, community development, education, human services, local government, social policy, the not-for-profit sector or animal welfare. You will have demonstrated experience in:
- Leading organisational strategy and driving transformational change.
- Designing and delivering innovative community-based programs or services.

You'll join an organisation that is investing in prevention, innovation and evidence-informed practice, where you'll have the opportunity to influence strategy, develop new service models, build meaningful partnerships and create lasting change for communities and companion animals.
You'll work alongside passionate professionals committed to collaboration, continuous improvement and making a genuine difference.
